Position Overview: A well-established engineering and construction services organization is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to step into a senior technical and operational leadership role. This position goes beyond pure design work and focuses on engineering oversight, operations, team leadership, and long-term client outcomes. It is structured as a long-term opportunity with a clear path toward executive responsibility and potential future ownership, prioritizing technical integrity and engineered solutions over commission-driven work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate residential and commercial structural conditions
  • Develop, stamp, and approve engineering reports and repair designs
  • Serve as primary technical authority for engineering decisions
  • Supervise and mentor Engineers-in-Training and field inspectors
  • Oversee site evaluations and quality control standards
  • Manage multiple active projects and field teams
  • Oversee scheduling, billing coordination, and administrative workflows
  • Manage purchasing, equipment utilization, and material flow
  • Supervise shop operations, vehicles, and maintenance programs
  • Provide leadership across engineering, field execution, and office operations

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in structural systems or construction engineering preferred
  • General contractor license or construction management experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to perform site inspections and basic field tasks
