Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic II at the Albertsons Clackamas Dairy Plant, Clackamas, OR. Contractor (pay-as-you-go). Onsite. Marketplace Pay Rate: up to $36.97/hr (candidates must meet all requirements for this rate). 90-day contract (expected Jul 27, 2026 - Nov 9, 2026), with possibility of extension and conversion to full-time. Upon conversion to full-time, candidate must join the onsite union. Candidate must be eligible for indefinite employment without limited work authorization. Work schedule: 3rd shift / graveyard, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Must be open to working at least one weekend day and overtime. Summary: Ensure the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and complete preventative maintenance. Responsibilities: - Observe all company safety policies and procedures; maintain good housekeeping, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout - Identify complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic problems on associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); develop, evaluate, and implement solutions - Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrections, referencing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs - Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace parts - Understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on PM schedules - Perform routine maintenance and determine when/what maintenance is needed - Respond to maintenance requests promptly and complete maintenance reports - Maintain plant equipment for maximum efficiency; work with vendors/contractors; order spare parts/services as needed - Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds); train others to operate equipment safely - Rebuild/fabricate equipment; weld mild and stainless steel; complete work orders; maintain logs and records - Investigate electrical and instrument equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures Requirements: - High School Degree or equivalent - 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment - Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required - Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics - Ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints - LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred - OSHA 10 / CPR and prior experience nice to have Reporting location: 16800 SE Evelyn St, Clackamas, OR 97015.
